Fair Use Policy

1. Introduction

1.1 This Fair Use Policy forms part of the Forecast Terms of Service and applies to Your use of the Service.

1.2 The aim of the Fair Use Policy is to ensure that Forecast Services are used in the way that they are intended and not in a way that devalues or impairs the Service.

1.3 Terms identified with capitalized letters shall adopt the definitions set out in the Forecast Terms of Service.

1.4 This policy is subject to periodic revision by Forecast to reflect changes in its services, customer behavior, prevailing market conditions, or changes in the agreements Forecast may have entered into with third-party suppliers. It is recommended that You check this policy often for changes that may impact Your use of the Service.

2. Consequences for Breach of the Fair Use Policy

2.1 If Forecast believes that you are in breach of the Fair Use Policy We reserve the right to take any, or all, of the following actions:

(a) Make You aware of the breach and require that You take such action as reasonably directed to promptly remedy the situation.

(b) Suspend Your access to, and use of, the Service by You and Users until such time as you are back in compliance with the terms of this policy.

(c) Agree with You an increase in your Subscription Charges to reflect the additional demands you are placing on the Service and value you are obtaining from it.

2.2 If You continually fail to comply with the requirements of this policy and/or comply with the measures set out in section 2.1 above Forecast reserves the right to terminate Your access to and use of the Service by You and Users and end your Agreement with Forecast.

3. Fair Use of Forecast REST API

3.1 For the benefit of all users of the Service it is important that You only make fair and reasonable use of the API.

3.2 Use of the API must be limited to a reasonable number of concurrent API calls and must allow an appropriate wait time for completion of these requests before submission of further API calls.

3.3 In the event any of Your API calls fail or return errors you must immediately notify Forecast and reduce your API usage until the issue resolves.

3.4 Forecast reserves the right from time-to-time to specify a maximum number of API calls in a given period, which You will be required to adhere to.

3.5 Limits are currently set at:

  • 3.5.1 for customers with Integrations packages
    • 5 million integration tasks per customer per year
    • 1,000 API calls per user per month
  • 3.5.2 for customers without Integration packages
    • 1,000 Forecast API calls per user per month
