Fifteen years of developing people, strategy, and operational efficiency in high growth organizations has taught me many things, but one stands out: you need to take risks to create opportunities for yourself, at least in the sales universe. Taking risks, which has to involve saying yes to the outside of your comfort zone, opens the doors to new and exciting experiences. This has been a mantra that’s accompanied me throughout my whole career to now becoming Senior Director of Sales at Forecast.
A journey to becoming a Sr. Director of Sales
Prior to Forecast, I had an amazing chance to develop my skills as a sales professional at a bunch of great companies. I began my career at Salesforce, and after four successful years there, it was time to challenge myself and take another opportunity, and then another one. As the years went by, my expertise grew. I built a successful outbound sales development team at Box from 0 to 50 reps and managers as well as the inside sales team at TripActions from 8 to 100 reps and account executives. I then moved to London to build out TripActions’s EMEA sales team, where I became the VP of Sales.
What brought me to Forecast was an industry ripe for disruption and yet another opportunity to excel at what I’m so passionate about - scaling top-performing, result-oriented sales teams. It wasn’t just a product-market fit that I saw- my values clicked with Forecast’s leadership team too. I was especially inspired by Dennis’s vision as a CEO, and Rob’s strategy to scale the company’s commercial function as a CRO. They are really breaking through the ceiling to have the best-in-class full-suite solution for project management, and I loved the ambition and the ability to execute on them.
A few weeks into the role
what excites me the most is steering our sales ship, comprised of business development associates and account directors - a team that I’m growing right now! Meeting with exciting prospects, understanding their project management challenges, and solving those with Forecast, we’re not only becoming better sales reps but also improving our own project management skills.
My first two weeks with Forecast have been an adventure, but that’s what usually happens when you become part of a mission-driven ambitious team, right? Every Forecaster that I’ve met so far is in love with the platform and the direction it’s moving in. We’re working with state-of-the-art technologies to create a better future for project managers by automating mind-numbing administrative tasks. This not only benefits project managers and their overall performance dramatically but also affects operational and financial efficiency significantly.
To cut a long story short, it’s great to work at a company that is making history with artificial intelligence. It’s also a pure joy to see how Forecast is helping agencies, consultancies, and software companies scale and maximize their potential by optimizing the way they work. Come join our rocket ship!
